Job Description

Assistant AccountantSouthwest LondonHybridSalary £30,000 to £38,000Award winning retail and ecommerce business who sell their products in high-end retailers across the United Kingdom are recruiting a Assistant Accountant to join the finance team on a permanent basis.This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded individual to join an established, cash rich and growing company. Apply today!Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:

  • Coding and inputting all stock invoices received onto Sage accounting system
  • Matching all items on stock invoices to those booked into the company’s stock system, to
  • ensure that all charges are correct in terms of quantities received, invoice value and
  • trade/settlement discounts
  • Daily monitoring of the aged creditors for stock suppliers and updating Treasury & Payables
  • Manager with any potential issues, deliveries on hold, discounts available etc.
  • Regular supplier statement reconciliations of key accounts and monitoring of GRNI
  • Provide cover for coding and inputting expense/overhead invoices
  • Preparation of payments using and cheques
  • Daily input and update of the cheque register
  • Assisting with fraud-screening of online orders
  • Multi-brand knowledge and awareness a distinct advantage
  • Similar experience at a retailer desirable but not essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including V-Lookups and Pivot Tables as a minimum
  • Ideally used Sage previously
  • Other duties as reasonably requested
