Job Description

Are you looking for a new Assistant Accountant role based in Central LondonMy client is an independent developer, owner and asset manager of rolling stock and other rail infrastructure. They provides innovative, value enhancing funding approaches for strategically important passenger rolling stock and other rail infrastructure.The role will be responsible for all aspects of transactional processing and bookkeeping activities such as;

  • preparation of month end management accounts
  • VAT and tax reporting
  • oversee processing of sales and purchase invoices in Xero
  • bank transactions
  • general ledger reconciliations
  • preparation of annual and interim statutory accounts
  • dealing with auditors and general business management as determined by the CFO and Head of Financial Control & Tax
You will be / Have;
  • AAT qualified or studying ACCA/ CIMA
  • Degree/or equivalent - desirable
  • Part qualified accountancy qualification - essential
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines - essential.
  • Proficient in MS office, specifically Excel
  • Experience in Xero or similar accounting system preferable
  • Previous use of SharePoint or similar system preferable but not essential
  • Strong attention to accuracy & detail
  • Team player
