Barings has robust trading operations in traditional fixed income and equity markets, as well as significant activity in less-liquid markets such as OTC derivatives and private equity. The developer will work directly with business partners throughoutthe development lifecycle, beginning with requirements gathering and progressing through post implementation support. The primary responsibility for this role will be to design, develop, test, and provide continuous post implementation support. The groupstechnology stack consists primarily of XML, XSLT, SQL Server, SSRS & SSIS. Secondary responsibilities will include supporting daily trading activity & being part of an on-call rotation during off hours to support and resolve production issues. The ideal candidatefor this position will have a desire to perform analysis, capacity to learn new systems, ability to contribute as a team member, be well-organized, detail-oriented, be proactive and have excellent communication skills. Exposure to Order Management/Executionmanagement systems market Axess/ TradeWeb/LiquidNet/Trumid/FX All/Bond Trader/Bloomberg EMSX) will be a big plus.The candidate should also be comfortable working with a range of Microsoft technologies, mainly hands on with complex T-SQL queries & procedures,able to troubleshoot and problem-solve quickly with a strong sense of urgency. Experience with trading or related systems/data at another asset manager or financial services company would be a plus. This person should be a self-starter, able to work independentlyand cooperatively as required. The candidate must be able to understand business requirements and investment data and concepts. Qualifications Technology Skill Sets Required: MS SQL Server 2017 or above - SSDT, SSIS XML/XPATH/XSLT Visual Studio, TFS, VSTSTechnology Skill Sets (Good to have): C# API dev/Support. Web development Design patterns, unit testing SSRS Azure cloud exposure Other Qualifications: Minimum 2-5 years of experience with T-SQL development experience Minimum 2 years of application development/supportexperience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS or business discipline preferred Previous experience supporting technical needs at an investment manager or similar financial firm desired Ability to excel in a fast-paced, project-driven environment Abilityto function independently and meet tight deadlines Strong sense of urgency and desire to see solutions implemented expediently Ability to communicate clearly and effectively within various levels of the organization
