Job Description

Asset Management Project ManagerOur client is looking for highly skilled Asset Management Project Manager to join their team for a 6 months initial contract.Key responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders and project resources to elicit requirements and subsequently update on requirements evolution in a business focused way.
  • Identify and document risks, issues and dependencies that are likely to the project and target operating models.
  • Support the development of sustainable, commercially viable change solutions with clear linkages to project goals and objectives.
  • Develop appropriate documentation to be utilised when engaging with external vendors to assess their capabilities and any gaps versus the requirements.
  • Appropriately document vendor responses and engage with selected vendors to arrange and manage follow up sessions documenting the outcomes and any business recommendations for subsequent approval.
  • To have appropriate mechanisms in place to regularly assess the progress and effectiveness of the analysis effort, taking interventions as needed to deliver work to agreed timescales and quality.
What were looking forSkillsIn addition to standard business analysis skills and process modelling requirements, the role holder should also possess the following:
  • A natural concern for order, including attention to detail and high standards for quality.
  • Strong facilitation skills required to drive out requirements, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Ability to document operating models, decision trees and other organisation design templates.
  • Able to construct clear and simple documents outlining the project requirements to vendors and to elicit their responses to our requirements in a structured and quantifiable manner.
  • Demonstrable experience in business analysis, applying business analysis tools / methods / techniques across a range of medium and large-scale projects and programmes.
  • Ability to take ownership of deliverables and to work independently to tight timescales within a high energy team environment in order to deliver exceptional business value.
  • Ability to quickly develop effective commercial relationships with third parties and to collaborate across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Confident when communicating with senior internal stakeholders to present findings and to gain consensus and support for recommendations and next steps.
ExperienceEssential
  • Previous experience in banking, pensions, asset management and highly regulated environments.
  • Experience working as part of a project team, eliciting requirements, engaging with third party vendors and developing and agreeing operating models to support business activity.
Industry Experience
  • 5+ years working in the pensions and finance / asset management industry.
Delivery Experience
  • Knowledge of and exposure to third party tender processes and procedures
  • Experience of using Microsoft office tools to an advanced standard
Desirable
  • Direct experience working in fund performance focused teams or projects.
  • Understanding of 3rd party performance reporting vendors and their platforms.
