My client is a leading alternative asset manager and has given me this role to work exclusively. I placed the Head of Audit a few years ago and he is now looking to hire an Audit Manager to work closely with them. The medium-term plan is to grow the auditfunction with additional hires, in mainland Europe and London. The expectation is that this person will be a Senior Manager and manage a new hire within that timeframe. This role will suit someone who is happy to work in a smaller but growing business in a small internal audit team. He or she will be "hands on" to deliver work but also within the first 12 months the expectation will be that this person, with support and mentoringwill be happy to attend local boards and committees, go to Board meetings in the Head of Audits absence and help prepare audit committee papers. He or she could also attend Investment Committees. This person can either be the finished article already or withsupport be expected to develop quickly enough to step up.While the ideal candidate would have alternative asset management experience, that really isnt as important as the ability to learn and develop and be good with senior stakeholders. He or she will need to be hands on to deliver audits but will also be coachedto add more value beyond pure audit delivery. Attitude and cultural fit are key, so this person can potentially come from any financial services internal audit team.Hybrid working officially is 3 days in the office, but candidates requiring 2 days a week may be considered depending on circumstances, as the Head of Audit is keen to promote inclusivity in his team.Travel is under 10%, probably a two-week trip to a reasonablyexotic location once a year and potentially 2 or 3 times to Europe with short overnight stays. To find out more contact me.#auditjobs
