An excellent opportunity has emerged for a Asset Management and Maintenance Officer to join one of our leading clients based in East London in a temporary position. You will be responsible for the Asset Management Programme, building and resident Health and Safety and maintenance administration of 800+ units. The client is looking for somebody who has previous experience of: *Dealing with day to day maintenance issues and undertaking routine inspections.*Liaising with tenants and contractors to ensure works are completed to specified time frames.*Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety legislative practice applicable to Social Housing properties.*Ensuring compliance with regard to risk assessment, fire safety, gas safety, electrical safety, asbestos, Legionella etc and ensure appropriate records are maintained. *Coordinating refurbishment works, cyclical redecoration and major works including obtaining quotes and management of contractors.*Liaising with consultant architects, surveyors, engineers and other relevant disciplines as and when required. *Writing, implementing and reviewing safe systems of working. *Ensuring that the security, general up-keep and appearance of the Estate, including the grounds.*Managing and take part in the maintenance emergency service (which will be out of hours).*Liaising with the Senior Maintenance and Compliance Manager in planning, managing and monitoring the Maintenance budget. Strong knowledge and experience of Property Management and Maintenance as well as current health and safety housing legislation is required. A full UK driving licence and own vehicle is also required.
