Throw in her gong at the 2020 London Apprenticeship Awards, and it’s clear for all to see just what can happen when you never give in.The Role:As an Asset Data Manager you can make your own powerful contribution to Westminster’s success, directing a programme of work that ensures the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) stock is surveyed on a 3-year cycle, and computerised records of the surveys and conditionare kept and maintained. Ensuring the integrity of the Management Reports Incorporated (MRI) Asset Management/Stock Condition database, and confirming that other data management systems are maintained and built into the council’s business processes, you’llalso help with the on-going development of a 30-year capital investment programme of work for the HRA stock.Directing and managing a programme of in-flat survey work that monitors the Decent Homes standard, and providing quarterly updates to our Leadership team, you’ll assess and prioritise major works projects for handover to the Client Surveying team. Assistingthe Asset Programme Manager with the development of our capital works programme by scheduling planned works for the stock, you’ll also record these projects in the stock condition database, and make sure this is kept up to date.But your work won’t stop here – we’ll also expect you to keep abreast of Government and Council strategies and policies that might affect our work, and contribute to the writing of policies and procedures for implementing any changes. Assisting senior colleagueswith the preparation of technical reports that enable us to make informed decisions on planned expenditure and the development of the asset strategy, you’ll also help to produce stock data and reports for other departments within the Housing and CommercialPartnerships directorate.About You:To be a success in this important role you’ll have well developed experience of working in a project management environment dealing with repairs, capital works or housing stock data. Capable of managing large stock condition surveys, and with a good understandingof stratified sampling techniques and data analysis, you’ll have practical knowledge of analysing technical information systems with a view to providing technical input into asset management and business plans.You should have excellent IT skills and the ability to use complex spreadsheets and integrated databases, and in addition to experience of working in a housing environment, you should be aware of the way in which the political landscape can impact on thedelivery of real estate projects. We’ll also expect you to have a flexible approach to your work, and possess the ability to question proposals and ensure they offer value for money.This is a role where you’ll need to get to grips with a range of complex and multi-faceted initiatives, and work closely with senior managers and a wide range of stakeholders.
