Job Description

Job Title: Senior Claims Adjuster (Property/Specialty)Job Type: 12-month FTCLocation: London (Hybrid - 3 days a week in the office)Salary: CompetitiveResource Solutions has a fantastic opportunity available for a Senior Claims Adjuster with experience in property and/or specialty claims to join our client, a leading global insurance and reinsurance company. Our client specialises in providing bespoke ideasto transform complex risks into innovative solutions.Opportunity Overview: In this role, you will handle Property & Specialty claims, including complex and disputed claims matters, conduct in-depth claims analysis, and identify trends to provide expert guidance and/or opinion to the Global PortfolioHead and other internal stakeholders, as required.Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the claims management and claims operations colleagues in the production of Management Information reports.
  • Producing regular statistical and analytical Claims information to Portfolio and Risk Managers and Senior Management to enable effective monitoring of Claims.
  • Developing and maintaining sufficient knowledge of the Claims portfolio, to ensure delivery of accurate information to Underwriters and management when requested.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely updates of the companys systems as and when required.
  • Acting as a referral point to other members of the Claims team on specific tasks or in the absence of the Assistant Claims Manager or Technical Lead.
  • Management of static/slow-moving claims.
Skills & Experience
  • Experience and a proven track record of working in a Claims environment within a specialized/complex Claims area focusing on Commercial Property & Construction claims.
  • Property and/or Specialty claims knowledge desirable.
  • Recognised qualification(s) and/or good practical knowledge of the insurance regulatory framework.
  • Relevant commercial experience of the general insurance industry and claims trends to be able to provide expert advice and opinion where required.
  • Extensive and relevant knowledge of technical claims handling in a group claims function, operating in a highly regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of delegated and third-party claims management from a technical, commercial, and operational perspective.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Able to manage conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines.
