Their job description usually entails helping to resolve issues such as anxiety, addiction, neurological disorder, and depression." Its amazing how two different jobs have very similar roles, you will be able to apply what youve learned as a TA to a Clinical psychologist, not only theoretically but practically as well! So with that being said…Taking this TA job will require somebody that is resilient, positive and outgoing. Its an environment where your ego will have to be put to one side in order for you to really thrive, have an amazing personal trajectory and effectively improve the behaviour of vulnerable students. Youll come to terms with the fact that every day will be different and it isnt just a typical teaching assistant job, you wouldnt really know what to expect, but thats the beauty of it. Youll also be learning about the different behavioural needs and possible triggers and how it may impact an individuals behaviour and the students around too!As well as helping students cope with behaviour and grow as individuals you will be learning a lot about yourself along the way. As an aspiring clinical psychologist or anybody that really aspires to work within the public sector this experience will defiantly help boost knowledge, confidence in not only understanding and handing needs and behaviour but also with yourself because you know what you are capable of.Youll be working as a TA in an all-boys secondary school in East London, around students with different needs such as ADHD, ASD, Literacy needs, SLCN, MLD. Mainly in KS3 and KS4 so you will be able to establish a real effective relationship with them and if you are sincere, passionate and resilient you will really enjoy this role.COVID-19 NOTE: Due to the current climate our registration process will be very different from our usual process.
