Working in partnership with community organisations across London, we deliver bespoke projects that support individuals and communities to enrich and improve lives.THE ROLE: This is a fantasticopportunity for an Art History Tutor to teach on our Ceramics Diploma Course. This role requires knowledge of broad cultural development, and the key movements and practices across the major visual arts, from late C19 up to the present day. The role will consistof weekly morning lectures, throughout the year, delivered on a schedule to be determined by the Course Leader, featuring both a broad survey of art-historical ideas and movements, and specific content related to ceramics, to be developed in consultation withthe Course Leader and tutor team. Subjects of particular relevance to the course are: late 19th, 20th and early 21st Century art movements; artists whose output spans Fine Art, Craft and Design, and key movements including Arts and Crafts, Bauhaus, Impressionismand Post-Impressionism, Modernism, Abstract Expressionism, Post Modernism.HOURS:Approximately 27 hours across the academic year, on a variable schedule according to programme planning and requirements.SELECTION CRITERIA: A degree or other relevant qualificationin modern/contemporary art history. Up to date knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject that can inspire students. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in the coordinated delivery of the course, to share best practice and learn from other colleagues.Have a qualification relevant to the subjects being taught on the course or in the lecture series.
