Building regulation compliance is integral to a project from inception to completion and operating as a Corporate Building Control Approved Inspector, they are dedicated to ensuring that the Building Control process provides added value for clients, whether they are designers, developers, or contractors. They serve a wide range of clients in varied industries including commercial, education, industrial, retail, leisure and residential. The Assent Group are constantly striving to be the best and continue to evolve in a sustainable way through careful recruitment and retention leading to the development of solid, long-term relationships and, with that in mind, they are now recruiting an Area Manager in London to lead the LB Building control team to drive their growth plans forward.As Area Manager, you will play a key part in the growth and development of the region (London) and be tasked with making decisions for the benefit of colleagues, your area and the Group as a whole. The purpose of this role is to contribute to and manage the delivery of the Areas strategic plan including supporting and mentoring staff in your team/region. The key objectives for this position are to assist with the areas business development and delivery of processes to improve technical & business operations to maintain Assent Groups position as the No. 1 Approved Inspector in England & Wales; to support Associates develop plans for their offices deal with queries (commercial ,technical, operational & compliance); drive performance through l regular 1 2 1’s and Area Team Meetings and to also provide operational building control on a number of projects within your area providing technical assistance/advice to less experienced colleagues.To be shortlisted you must have previous experience in a senior management role in a building control environment including corporate membership of either MCABE or MRICS. As a high calibre Building Control Surveyor you will have natural leadership skills, be capable of working with the minimum of supervision and be highly skilled at building relationships, with excellent communication skills and commercial awareness.
