As a Software Developer Apprentice you will be part of a team designing and delivering digital products and services that are used by over 20 million people in the UK, including your friends, family, neighbours and some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Working with tools like Java, Cobol, C and Relational Databases, youll gain the technical expertise and industry standard qualifications to launch your digital career. We dont expect you to have used these tools before; we will give you all the support and training you need. Develop Workplace Potential Were looking for people who have: A passion for technology and all things digital An interest in logic and numbers A methodical mind and attention to detail Great communicators who enjoy working, and learning, with others A can-do attitude, and willingness to learn Youll develop the following technical skills: using big data and analytics artificial intelligence micro services application programming interfaces (APIs) Work and learn with DWP, in partnership with Makers Combine hands-on experience at DWP Digital with virtual learning including one-to-ones with tutors and dedicated skills coaches, lab tutorials and proper research projects. And meet weekly with your line manager and mentor.Makers team of world class coaches has 7 years experience discovering and unlocking tech skills potential in people. Youll spend the first 16 weeks of the apprenticeship with Makers, diving deep into the world of software engineering and learning best practices for working in a digital team. Details. Wages. Perks.
