The fund, given its performance so far this year is arguable in the upper quartile with Data and Technology a major contributor to trading ideas, investment decisions and its sales planning and business development. This position is an extremely visiblerole to the front office, with a large proportion of its stakeholder group being portfolio managers and the sales team. Typical duties will include but not limited to: Provide first class front line support to the front office, sales and across the businessManage, upgrade and monitor all applications Technical checks and resolving application faults and queries Assisting with changes to vendor feeds using Secure File Transfer Protocol Upgrading applications for trading in new asset classes or with new brokersDatabase management and SQL CRM data analytics and upgrades Enterprise scheduling software - visual cron, control M or equivalent This role will largely suit a candidate working in a large tech team at an institutional house who is enticed by the variety asmaller more diverse buy side firm can bring. They will relish the opportunity to work in a faster paced team, where tech change and application development and upgrades happen quickly and with full support from senior management. They will also welcome anenvironment where they can challenge the status quo and make significant improvement across tech. Typical Experience would ideally include; STEM degree ideally comp sci SQL and/or Python Trading application support, maintenance and monitoring Passion for technology,data and trading applications Financial services experience either investment banking, asset management or hedge fund 1-5 years relevant experience
