Application Support Analyst / Systems Support Analyst - IRIS, Xchanging, Configuration, Administration, Support, iSeries/AS400, .Net, SQL, XML, SSAS/SSIS. Guildford (or City of London if necessary based on home location). £65k - £70k +Bonus +Benefits Application Support Analyst required to work with a multi-national Insurance Corporation focussing on the configuration, administration and application support within IRIS (International Reinsurance and Insurance System) provided by Xchanging. The successful candidate will play a key role at the SME for the IRIS system and liaise with both DXC and Xchanging in order to manage the IRIS systems support and enhancement requirements. From a hands-on perspective you will be familiar with the application and in particular the data management aspects relating to the EU Claims Application including SQL and XML. With systems operating across both AS400 AND MS.Net environments you will ideally be able to manage the system and its data flow with a mix of skills including RPG, CL and Query (in relation to AS400/iSeries with DB2) and T-SQL in relation to SQL Server datawarehouses. Additional expertise with SSAS and SSIS within the SQL environment would also be helpful in terms of delivering reporting and related functionality. The Application Support Analyst will monitor IRIS system performance, triage and troubleshoot IRIS issues on both the iSeries and .Net platforms, participate in migration/development projects and assist users with questions and issues. Ultimately you will become the SME for the system and work closely with the 3rd party vendors to ensure its ongoing support and enhancement. We are searching for an IRIS Application Support Analyst who has worked in a similar capacity within the Insurance/Reinsurance field and is familiar with the IRIS (Xchanging) system. You will be a proficient systems support analysts able to configure and support the system and have a solid technical background in relation to the data environments in terms of AS400/DB2 (RPG, CL, Query) and SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS and ideally SSAS). You may have been working for an insurance company or a reinsurance company or alternatively for a 3rd party consultancy or software house including CSC / HPe / DXC or Xchanging themselves and be seeking a role which is focussed on the ongoing evolution of the IRIS system within the global insurance company. The company ideally seeks an employee who can work from the Guildford offices with some travel to the City of London offices but if this is not feasible consideration can be made for the role to be based in London full time.
