Job Description

Prospero teaching is currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted Outstanding mainstream academy/PRU which recognise that every child has unique and special needs that require individualisation, imagination and enthusiasm to ensuresuccess.The successful applicants will have:

  • Experience working with SEN
  • Ability to work with challenging behaviour
  • Previous experience working between the ages of 11 - 16 years old
  • Valid and enhanced child and adult DBS
The role consists of:
  • Supporting the class teacher
  • 1:1 time with students
  • Keeping a level of focus and discipline to match the ages and abilities of the students in the classroom
  • Building good student - teacher rapport.

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
