A flexibletech environment where introduction and trial of new technology is widely used (Flutter, Kotlin etc) One of the most talented and largest mobile engineering teams in the North-West (100 engineers,) Overall purpose of role As the Android Chapter Lead / AndroidEngineering Manager you will be responsible for managing The Android App framework; define and implement the security strategy; run the Android agile guild; drive engineering excellence throughout the mobile development community; responsible for the governancestrategy for features coming into the mobile app; establish a high quality developer eco-system including reference material and training; implement an application architecture fit for the future unknowns. In short - breaking your role into People leadership,Practice Android leadership and strategic & technical planning. Key AccountabilitiesDrive the standards and governance across the development community across Kotlin & AndroidRun the client frameworks with reusable componentsOwn and enhance the mobileCI/CD pipelines with a focus on developer experienceEnsure strong pipeline of talent and high productivity for Android chapterDefine the application architecture that works for now and for future strategies Technical Skills background: - Deep technicalknowledge of Android Development - Kotlin, Java, Android SDK - Core developer tools - git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, Sonatype Nexus. - Proven leader with track record of driving the highest level of engineering standards: architecture, coding, processes, andworking practices.
