Anaplan Planning & Reporting Manager

Job Description

My client an international media business is looking for an experienced Anaplan user to join the Group FP&A team and take ownership of all planning and reporting for the group using Anaplan. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in data/systems side of finance to really immerse themselves in the area.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the Anaplan platform throughout the business. Setting design standards and agreeing the development pipeline.
  • Full life-cycle project involvement: Working with a wide variety of stakeholders throughout the business to identify and propose new model builds; turning these plans into designs; building and supporting implementation of models.
  • Supporting all Anaplan models, helping to maintain the integrity of existing Anaplan models, providing maintenance/development and user support as required.
  • Work in conjunction with other local and global Finance teams to drive best practice and consistent processes with the on-boarding and alignment of FP&A processes and reporting across the Group.
  • Supporting monthly processes as required (model roll-forward, Group consolidation, reconciliation, and production of KPI packs).
  • Support global finance projects including balance sheet reporting, cash flow reporting and management of foreign exchange exposure.
  • Responding to requests for ad-hoc analysis as required.
  • Key skills required:
  • Strong understanding of the challenges of working within a global, multi-channel business - multiple currencies, time zones, products, business models.
  • Practical financial model builder with examples of successful model implementations and strong skills and experience across Anaplan and Excel. Experience with data and reporting tools is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles, including the relationship between the three financial statements. Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable but not essential.
  • Analytical mindset - the ability to analyse financial data at a high level of detail but also to be able to step back and see the bigger picture.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and requirements.
