JOB DESCRIPTIONEnergy Consultant• Full Time• Mobile Role• 40 Hours per weekDepartment Region OfficeRole can be based from LondonMy client is an Energy and Building Management System (BMS) Specialist carrying out newInstallations & projects, maintenance, and energy management services.This is a fast-growing company with a turnover of c£6M with offices in London,Consisting of over 50 staff and a network of subcontractors and suppliers with a plan to grow considerably over the next few years.The RoleMy client have launched a range of paid-for Energy Consultancy services and the successful applicant will deliver these services which include: on-site energy audits, energy healthchecks, benchmarking and awareness campaigns. In addition to the paid-for services the consultant will assist the sales team by identifying energy saving projects complete with ROI calculations that can be sold to clients.In this role the Energy Consultant will independently carry out on-site energy audits that are primarily centred around the building services and Building Management Systems but also include the savings that can be made from alterations to the fabric of the building. As part of the audit the consultant will gain an understanding of how the building is used and what can be done to reduce the energy consumption. Following on from the site audit the consultant will produce a report that details what was found, what can be saved and what the return on investment will be for each initiative. The report will be used to help “sell” the initiatives to the customer.As part of the role the consultant will also be expected to present their reports to customers face-to-face both independently and alongside a salesperson.ResponsibilitiesDetailed below are the primary tasks and responsibilities that come under this role.1. To carry out accurate and detailed on-site energy audits (of building services andbuilding fabric) in non-domestic buildings.2. To carry out onsite and offsite energy health checks in non-domestic buildings.3. As part of the audit process be responsible for analysing how the building is used andsuggest ways of reducing the energy cost and consumption without compromising theuser of the building’s operation.4. To provide the client with accurate investment appraisal analysis for all audits and healthchecks carried out (including payback and Return on Investment calculations).5. To produce accurate, timely, and full reports as part of the health check and auditprocess.6. To proactively present the findings from the energy audits and health checks tocustomers.7. To analyse the consumption for a particular building using historical data from utility billsand then benchmark the building against other similar buildings or industry standarddata.8. To validate customers utility bills.9. To offer clients advice on AMR metering systems and aM&T software packages.10. To assist clients to determine the root cause of energy over-consumption events, and toimplement energy usage awareness campaignsLiaise with
