Job Description

Algo Trading Engineer - Fintech Industry- 130kMy client is a leading fintech company at the forefront of innovation in the financial markets. If you are passionate about finance and technology and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the future of trading.As an Algo Trading Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing algorithmic trading strategies and systems. Your expertise in financial market data, along with strong programming skills in Golang or other structuredlanguages (C#, C++, Java), will contribute to the success of their trading operations. Knowledge of crypto markets and products is highly desirable for this role. This position requires working in London for three days a week- FANTASTIC benefits includedResponsibilities:

  • Develop and optimise algorithmic trading strategies and systems.
  • Design and implement low-latency trading solutions, leveraging financial market data.
  • Collaborate with traders, quantitative researchers, and other stakeholders to identify and implement trading opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough testing and analysis of trading strategies to ensure their effectiveness and robustness.
  • Monitor and evaluate real-time trading performance, making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in algorithmic trading and financial markets.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of software development practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial market data and trading concepts.
  • Experience in developing and implementing algorithmic trading strategies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Golang, C#, C++, or Java.
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
  • Familiarity with crypto markets and products is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Location and Compensation: This position is based in London, and the successful candidate will be required to work in the office three days a week. The salary for this role is up to £130,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
