Job Description

Agile Squad Lead (Python / React)London (Remote Based) £100,000 - £120,000 + fantastic benefits and excellent pension. Keywords: Python, React, Software, Agile, Automation, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Git, Lambda, S3, IaC, Platform, CI/CD, Yaml, Puppet, Cloud, ChefOur client is looking for a Agile Squad Lead (Python / React) to join their team.Primary Purpose of Role: Within this role, you will be the Agile Squad Lead on a core product that is the first of its kind in the world. This role will see you doing the following:

  • Provide technical leadership at a design level, working in a cross functional environment, interacting with Product Managers, Technical Architects and the Senior Leadership team.
  • Being an escalation point and subject matter expert for technical engineering with the ability to be hands on and also mentor more junior engineers.
On a technical level, youll be someone that comes from a strong Software Engineering background, comfortable working with a wide range of languages and tools, but with particular expertise in Python and React. Youll also enjoy working with AWS and toolslike Terraform, Ansible or Jenkins. Youll have prior experience of a DevOps culture and be an advocate for the benefits that this brings.Within this role you will be given the opportunity to lead on new and interesting products and be part of an environment that supports learning & development by giving you the time and budget to further improve your skills.Key Responsibilities: Your technical experience will have seen you develop some of the following skills:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Engineer / Architect within a DevOps / Agile environment.
  • Strong experience of Python / React, ideally with API architecture skills.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, ideally with Certification.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact with non-technical members of staff in a cross-functional team.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools with the ability to build and manage pipelines.
  • Good leadership skills with the ability to manage upwards and own a technical roadmap.
  • An understanding of architecture, governance and the formal review process.
  • A Cloud led approach to design with previous experience harnessing AWS to manage large datasets
  • Knowledge of, or exposure to security architecture & web application architecture.
