Agile Coach / Senior Scrum Master - Insurance, Fintech, Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Lean/XP/FDD etc, Project Management, Servant Leadership, Agile Coaching, Agile Process Improvement. London/ Remote (Near fully remote, 2 days per month in office), Permanent. £80k++Bonus +Excellent Benefits Global Fintech Company operating within the Insurance Markets currently seeks an Agile Coach / Senior Scrum Master to play a key role in the delivery and enhancements of a range of web based services for brokers and underwriters from a core platform. The role is an active Agile Coach / Senior Scrum Master position which work at Team Level (not Enterprise Level) and will begin to take on the responsibilities of the Agile Coach whereupon you will coach 2 x technical delivery teams, mentoring and guiding teammembers to resolve issues to specific challenges and improve Agile processes. Whilst there is a focus on Agile/Scrum with the successful candidate taking on the responsibilities of a Scrum Master you will also work to introduce and coach different methodologies such as Kanban, Lean, Extreme Programming (XP) or Feature Driven Development(FDD), where appropriate. This may also include the introduction of elements such as OKR (Objectives & Key Results) frameworks and retrospectives at team facilitation level. The role is primarily focussed on the servant leadership of one of the software development teams working to deliver solutions based on Java, Angular, React and Groovy and Grails. The successful candidate will act as the servant leader, facilitate scrum meetings(all formats) and manage both the team, the project and the artefacts within an Agile methodology, from a client facing position but in a purely hands-off capacity. Experience having delivered Java based applications is preferred but NO hands-on Java programmingexperience is necessary whatsoever. The Scrum team which you will manage is focussed on the core application development aspect but the team develop within the full stack of Java development within an Agile/Scrum environment employing TDD principles. Secondly, as the Agile Coach, you will advocate a culture of continuous improvement, setting goals and milestones and being accountable for them, drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset and ensure the organisation is at the forefront of industrybest practices by championing the use of metrics and other objective measures across team(s). We are searching for a Scrum Master / Servant Leader / Agile Project Manager / Agile Coach who is still very much working in a Scum Master capacity, albeit at a senior level, and happy to pick up projects and manage from a Servant Leadership position. You mayhave undertaken Agile Coaching within this role and be happy to act in this dual capacity with a view to moving into full strategic Agile Coaching capacity further down the line. You will be comfortable and familiar with all Agile/Scrum meetings/ceremonies,artefacts, roles and processes and be able to assist teams and stakeholders understand agile practices and frameworks. Additionally, you will have worked with other Agile Methodologies such as Kanban/Lean/XP/FDD and be comfortable conveying the benefits ofthese and how best to approach their implementation at Team Level and possibly have introduced OKR retrospectives. We are open to a range of backgrounds but experience gained as a Dev or QA would be highly beneficial. You may have been working within a Fintech Company, Insurtech Company, Insurance Company, Asset Management Company or Reinsurance Company, onsite via a Consultancy, Software House or elsewhere within the financial services arena but bring a combination of AgileServant Leadership and a technical background, having worked in various capacities within the industry (project manager, developer, development manager, product manager) in your past career. Excellent organisation and communication skills are pre-requisite.CSM, PSM, or PMI-ACP preferable.
