Job Description

Student Recruitment and Access Administrator who has excellent organisational, time-management and administrative skills with experience working with young people, public speaking and delivering workshops and talks is required to join ourStudent Recruitment and Outreach Team at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.SALARY: £29,804 to £32,857 per annum including London Weighting (Grade 4)BENEFITS: 35 Days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays, Local Government Pension Scheme, Death in Service, Ongoing Training and Development, Wellbeing / Employee Assistance Programme, Season Ticket Loan, Cycle to Work Scheme, Free Tickets toStudent Public ProductionsLOCATION: LondonJOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentJOB OVERVIEWThis is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Student Recruitment and Outreach teams, promoting Central as a higher education drama school for students from across the UK and overseas, and assisting with the development, delivery and evaluationof the Schools outreach programme.Working as the Student Recruitment and Access Administratoryou will provide administrative support to enable the implementation of the student recruitment marketing strategy as well as the Access and Participation Plan (APP).As the Student Recruitment and Access Administratoryou will have the opportunity to represent us at careers fairs and higher education events, give talks in local and national schools and colleges and assist with the organisation of Central Open Days, tasterdays and campus visits.DUTIESSome of your key responsibilities as the Student Recruitment and Access Administrator include:

  • Support the implementation of innovative and creative advertising and direct mail campaigns
  • Support content and marketing communication channels (online and offline)
  • Support the production of digital content which could include audio and videos
  • Update and write content for the website and a range of social media channels
  • Responsibility for the maintenance of course listings on external websites and databases
  • Develop a bank of student testimonials to be used via various marketing channels
  • Create and administer direct mail campaigns for student recruitment
  • Represent Central at external recruitment events including UCAS Exhibitions or smaller scale school fairs
  • Contribute to the production of materials in a variety of media to support delivery of Student Recruitment events
  • Supporting the administration and delivery of Centrals Outreach Programme including the raising of contracts for facilitators, liaison with organisations and collation of workshop feedback
  • Work with course leaders to support a proactive marketing function
  • Liaise and negotiate with external agencies and suppliers to seek opportunities and value for money
  • Attend industry conferences and networking events to keep up-to-date with news and developments in the industry
  • Organise the distribution of Centrals prospectus to key stakeholders, schools, and overseas external events including auditions
  • Deal with the operational logistics of events both on and off-site. These duties would include booking couriers, travel and hotels
  • Take regular stocks takes of marketing materials, including banners, bags, pens, prospectuses

  • Experience of working in a student recruitment, communications or access and Participation role
  • Knowledge of the barriers that prevent under-represented groups progressing to university
  • Experience of delivering student recruitment or outreach events
  • Ability to speak confidently in public and deliver workshops/talks
  • Have a keen interest in the impact of arts education in society
