The Department Our national Real Estate team provides a complete range of legal and advisory services on all aspects of commercial property for both the public and private sector. We advise on and draft heads of terms, development agreements and associated construction,planning and site disposal matters, funding arrangements, freehold transfer and associated due diligence procedures, grant assignment and lease renewals. Our clients range from major retailers, leisure operators, regional developers, local authorities, universitiesand healthcare providers. We have been involved in a range of projects from £100 million city centre regeneration schemes to smaller bespoke ventures. Our service includes the management of large property portfolios for occupiers and investors, advising onLTA 1954 renewals, easements, covenants, service charges and land registration. The role We are currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join our Real Estate team in London. The sucessful candidate will work as part of a team providing administrative support to case handlers and secretaries.Main duties and responsibilities
  • Assist case handlers and secretaries
  • Open new case files/matters ensuring compliance with Lexcel and internal procedures
  • Prepare and copy various documents such as letters, enclosures, bundles etc
  • Collect and coordinate incoming and outgoing post
  • Perform filing tasks
  • Perform general photocopying & scanning duties
  • Perform general file management duties
  • Prepare and send out various internal and external documents
  • Assist with the inputting of information on various systems
  • Close and archive files
  • Perform other administrative duties as are appropriate
  • Ensure relevant deadlines and quality measures are adhered to
  • Comply with relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures
  • Work in accordance with Weightmans values

  • Experience in a busy legal/office environment is desirable
  • Have a Law Degree or a LPC (or studying towards)
  • Candidate must be a team player

  • You must have the ability to prioritise tasks and your workload
  • Have good housekeeping skills
  • A hands on approach to work
