You will be working closely and collaboratively with colleagues from Corporate Accounting, Business Intelligence and Risk Management.About the role:On a day-to-day basis you will have the opportunity to get involved in the following:Planning and implementing actuarial model improvements within the model governance frameworkCarrying out and improving checks on actuarial valuation dataProducing actuarial results and communicating with Corporate Accounting, Business Intelligence and Risk Management regarding their use in financial and risk reportingProducing quarterly Audit and Risk Committee and Board reports covering actuarial valuation resultsCarrying out actuarial experience analysesDrafting responses to queries from regulators and auditorsKeeping up to date with the regulatory environment of the life companiesMaintaining the modelling aspects for financial reportingProviding actuarial support to business needs elsewhere, as necessaryAbout you:The successful candidate will be a part qualified actuary with a minimum of 1 years experience working within a life insurance firm or actuarial consultancy. Excel modelling skills are essential, any experience of VBA or R coding, and experience using Prophetand DCS would be beneficial. You should have a working knowledge of life company regulations and an understanding of investment and insurance products. Experience of report writing and financial reporting are desirable.Due to the nature of the role you must be analytical and intellectual and have excellent attention to detail.
