Job Description

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Officer looking for their next opportunity Do you want to take full ownership over the accounts payable function and make your mark in a fantastic organisation Looking to make recommendations and pioneer the developmentof more efficient accounts payable processes If yes, read on!Robertson Bell are excited to recruit an Accounts Payable Officer on a permanent basis for this well-established organisation. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will demonstrate your extensive AP experience by taking full responsibility for allaccounts payable processes and play a critical role in the establishment of efficiencies across the function.The key responsibilities include:

  • Taking full ownership over the accounts payable function, ensuring all invoices are coded and processes correctly.
  • Keeping a keen eye to ensure accuracy when setting up essential supplier payments.
  • Play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of a new PO process.
  • Get approval for two payment runs on a weekly and bi-weekly basis, ensuring they are fully authorised and on time.
This opportunity is being offered on a hybrid basis, requiring you to go into their office in central London just two days a week, making this a perfect opportunity for somebody looking for a great work-life balance.   • Have vast experience overseeing a manual accounts payable function for several years.
  • Be tech-savvy and have experience using several accounting systems such as Navision, Sage, etc.
  • Ideally have experience implementing or improving accounts payable processes but candidates without this experience who want exposure to this, are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • The ability to manage themselves and work independently.
