Job Description

This newly created role will lead a small team to set up and maintain the accounts payable processes across the UK and Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to add value to a growing business.Client DetailsMy client is a rapidly growing renewable energy business at the cutting edge of their industry. Their head office is based in the City of London.DescriptionAs the Accounts Payable Manager you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead and supervise the accounts payable team of three clerks
  • Oversee the end to end AP process including processing, expenses, allocation of payments and payment runs
  • Lead the AP transition through a ERP system implementation/migration
  • Support with supplier queries i.e., payment queries/ reconciling statements
  • Record VAT correctly (exposure to intra EU and reverse charge accounting of VAT an advantage)
  • Review VAT treatment on sales and purchases and the prepare VAT return
  • Weekly bank reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Support month end processes including AR & AP, preparation of journals and accruals, balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead the identification of process improvements across multiple entities ensuring consistency
  • Support with year end and audit processes
ProfileTo be considered for this Accounts Payable Manager role you will have the following:
  • Experience supervising / managing an AP function
  • Experience working across multiple entities
  • Exposure to process improvement and system implementations
  • Dynamics 365 experience highly desirable
