Job Description

Summary Eko (formerly SumOfUs) is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Contractor to join us in our fight for a sustainable, equitable future for all. If you are excited about global economic justice, love working in fast-paced, experimental environments and have expertise in international accounts payable, then this might be the role for you.The Accounts Payable Contractor will oversee the accounts payable function and will be responsible for monitoring incoming emails in the invoices mailbox, processing supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and resolving queries from suppliers.Additionally, the role involves assisting with the multi-currency payment process and contributing to ad hoc projects as required. As someone with previous accounts payable experience, you’ll be ready to hit the ground running, bringing your finance knowledgeand attention to detail skills to this role.This role is remote for up to 40 hours per week over a 12-month period, with the potential for an extension. It is open to candidates between GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) and GMT +2 (Eastern European Time).Please be aware that this is a temporary contracted position with a fixed term, not a salaried core staff role.   • Monitor incoming emails in the invoices mailbox;
  • Handle the processing of supplier invoices;
  • Reconcile supplier statements;
  • Resolve queries from suppliers;
  • Assist with the multi-currency payment process;
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.

And, this role in particular will require you to:
  • A solid understanding of accounts payable;
  • Experience in multi-currency payments;
  • Proficiency with Google suite programs and Microsoft Excel;
  • Great attention to detail;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Strong data input experience with a high level of accuracy;
  • Demonstrate a logical and practical approach;
  • Excellent prioritization skills;
  • Act with integrity, honesty and discretion.
Big pluses We know that no one can possibly have all these skills and experiences - you will likely be able to bring 2 or 3 of the following to our team:
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online;
  • Familiarity with Expensify and Bill.com;
  • Experience working for a global nonprofit organization.
