My client a boutique legal firm in the West End are looking for a purchase ledger assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. The booking should last between 4-8 weeks depending on the replacement of a permanent member of staff.Duties include:Posting all incoming invoices on the accounts system.Ensuring all incoming invoices are authorised for payment by the appropriate person.Posting of Land Registry, Court fees, Companies house online portal invoicesProcessing expensesPosting of company credit cardArranging a weekly BACS payment run for due invoices and expensesArranging a daily payment run for PWP (pay when paid invoices)Processing and reconciling transactions relating to Counsel fees and Expert fees.Reconciling suppliers ledgers and statements as appropriate.Posting foreign invoices and arranging paymentCashiering - when requiredDuties include:Processing inward and outwards CHAPS/ Same day/overnight paymentsAllocation of client receiptsAllocation of office receiptsPerson Specification - SkillsStrong communication skills, both written and oralExcellent IT skills:- Aderant (experience preferred but not essential)- Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook (experience essential)Good organisational skillsPro-activeExcellent attention to detailAbility to liaise with people at all levelsA team playerHelpful and willing, with a "can do" attitudeAble to see the bigger pictureAbility to take on responsibilityCourteous and efficientProfessional and conscientious, taking a pride in doing the job well.
