Job Description

Accounts payableSouthwest LondonOffice basedSalary £30,000 to £32,000ParkingAward winning property company in southwest London have an excellent opportunity to join their finance team in the capacity of Accounts Payable. They are now looking for you to becomethe newest member of their accounts team as the Accounts Payable Specialist.As the successful Accounts Payable you will be responsible for:

  • Double entry bookkeeping.
  • Complex multi-entity invoicing (manual).
  • Completing the purchase ledger from start to finish.
  • Month end journals up to Trial Balance.
  • Processing high volumes of invoices from multiple suppliers (up to 600 per week).
  • Preparing creditor payment lists.
  • Data manipulation using Excel.
To be successful as the Accounts Payable you will:
  • Be able to remain calm in a high-pressure environment.
  • Have previous Xero experience.
  • Be commercially aware and be able to pre-empt your workload.
  • Have a solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping and debits vs credits.
  • Be proficient at MS Excel (VLOOKUP’s, formulas etc.).
  • Have a flexible approach to work and be a team player.
This is an immediate start role and will give you the opportunity to join a truly entrepreneurial business and develop your skills in complex transactional accounting. This is a great role for someone who has recently graduated in a finance based subject.Alternatively someone with extensive experience in traditional bookkeeping who wants to work locally in SW London as oppose to The City.The job title accounts payable may also be known as purchase ledger or bought ledger.
