Job Description

Are you an accounting graduate (or equivalent) Are you looking to continue studying towards CIMA or ACCA Do you have between 12-18 months accounts experience (accounts payable / receivable / bank reconciliations)As a result of growth across the business, we are currently working exclusively in partnership with a fast-growing media organisation who are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their team, based in Central London.As Accounts Assistant you will have a strong understanding of the basis accounting principles e.g double entry, accruals and prepayments as youll be joining a close-knit team of 4 in finance to support with the management accounts preparation.Further tasks include:

  • Accounts payable; matching invoices, setting up supplier payments, handling supplier queries
  • Managing the petty cash and processing receipts
  • Raising sales invoices on Sage
  • Weekly bank reconciliations
  • Updating accruals and prepayments schedules
  • Assistance with month-end reconciliations
    • To be successful, youll ideally have a degree in a relevant discipline (accounting, finance, mathematics) or equivalent. Youll have a sound understanding of the debits and credits in accounting along with 12-18 months accounts experience. As youll be joining a fast-growing media organisation, youll be someone who can work under pressure, is keen to learn with a progressive mindset and on track to becoming Management Accountant in time.Competitive starting salary plus study support on offer, along with a supportive work culture, team trips abroad and an agile working environment.
