Job Description

Accounts AssistantUp to £30,000Accountancy PracticeHybrid role (4 days in the office during probation, reducing to 2 thereafter)Full time, permanent roleLondon based (West End)Study support offered.Cedar have partnered with a market leading global Accountancy practice who are looking for an articulate and ambitious Accounts Assistant to join their highly successful team.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to join a progressive organisation who are growing rapidly.The ideal candidate will have previous accounts payable experience, proficient with MS Excel and the ability to work to ever changing priorities.Responsibilities include:

  • Post invoice & credit notes under correct G/L account in SAP under guidance from the Accounts Payable Administrator.
  • Assist with collating approvals for Invoice & Credit Notes from manager or department heads.
  • Liaise with vendors for reconciliation of the Creditor ledger.
  • Assist with monitoring the AP mailbox and responding to queries.
  • Assist with preparation of Biweekly payment runs on Barclays.net.
  • Post and reconcile bank payments and direct debits in SAP.
  • Provide a daily reconciliation of all bank account balance back to SAP.
  • Assist with the provision of remittance advices to suppliers.
  • Assist with ad hoc data queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support Management Accountants with various Month End tasks.
  • Provide support through the annual audits.
Person specification
  • Good IT skills
  • A good level of competence on Excel would be an advantage.
  • Work to a high level of accuracy (attention to detail).
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships.
  • Team player.
  • Uses own initiative.
  • Diligent and self-disciplined.
