Job Description

Pinpoint Resourcing are currently working with a charity in London to source an Accountant to join the team on a fixed term contract.Duties:

  • Maintain the chart of accounts and supporting infrastructure including tree review and reconciliation, account rules, attributes and attribute values, cost centres and projects.
  • Working directly with the Head of FP&A, the Finance Team, budget holders and managers across the charity to propose and make process improvements to continually improve the efficiency of finance systems and user experience.
  • Carry out period closures to deadline (for month end and year end) managing users and their expectations.
  • Continually review procedures and systems working with and within the Finance Team and across the charity to identify improvements. Work with colleagues to implement changes and action feedback as necessary.
  • Use external contacts (across the HE sector) to understand system processes and if efficiency savings can be made, implement at the charity.
  • Undertake any other duties requested by the Head of FP&A
  • Design and develop financial reports (including Excelerator) as required, working with both finance team members and Directors, Heads of Departments and other internal stakeholders to allow data to be easily analysed for decision making.
  • Working with the Head of FP&A and Deputy Director of Finance, Heads of Departments and Budget Holders to design and implement a new automated suite of reports for monthly reporting and data analysis, annual budgeting and forecasting .
  • Working with the Head of FP&A and the financial accounting team, develop the technical financial reporting to produce the statutory accounts and returns to time scale.
  • Assist with designing, creating and developing required financial management reports to support performance and data analysis.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
  • A strong knowledge of Agresso Unit 4 ERP
