Job Description

The Account Manager - Public Affairs - Health role will involve:

  • political and policy intelligence
  • client service
  • new business; and
  • marketing.

They deliver the results that matter for their clients and - ultimately - for the patients they serve.They are looking for an Account Manager - Public Affairs - Health to join the team!DescriptionThe Account Manager - Public Affairs - Health will be doing the following:Political and policy intelligence
  • Keeping abreast of major policy and political developments through news and political feed monitoring
  • Providing rapid alerts to the internal and client teams about monitoring items of interest, including making recommendations for client activity arising, and directing junior members of the team to do so
  • Ensuring materials used by clients to support engagement strategies (such as biographies, talking points and stakeholder maps) are reviewed regularly, are current and of high quality.
Client service
  • Ensuring that work delivered by you, or by teams for which you are responsible, is delivered to a high degree of accuracy.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of client accounts, including - as appropriate - responding to client requests in a timely way, delegating tasks to Account Executives and sighting senior members of the team on matters in need of their attention.
  • Working with Account Executives to: support the logistics of client meetings and undertake research to develop internal and external briefing notes and papers for clients
  • Implementing client programmes, working under the direction of the client team lead and with the support of the wider client team
  • Making recommendations to client team leads for programme expansion and enhanced delivery
  • Ensuring those programmes where the Account Manager is also the team lead are delivered to the expectations and satisfaction both of the client and of the management team
New business
  • Undertaking background research to inform new business pitches
  • Supporting the development of materials for new business purposes
  • Participating in new business pitches, as appropriate
  • Networking in policy and political fields to develop contacts and capture business intelligence
Marketing
  • Supporting the development of marketing events and/or materials
  • Helping the business maintain an active social media presence through twitter and blogging
