Job Description

As an Account Director - Public Affairs - Health, you will be leading client accounts, including leading the development of the strategy underpinning client programmes. You will also be updating clients on the latest health policy developments and advisingthem on the implications for their interests, and line managing junior members of the team.Client DetailsThis large award-winning healthcare policy and communications consultancy help their clients understand fast-paced health policy environments and advise them on how they can cut through the noise with their policy and communications strategies.They are creative, ambitious and dedicated.   • Keeping abreast of major policy and political developments
  • Ensuring internal and client teams receive rapid alerts to monitoring items of interest, including making recommendations for client activity arising
  • Providing high quality advice to clients on the implications of policy or political developments for their strategy and programmes of activity
Client service
  • Ensuring that work delivered by you, or by teams for which you are responsible, is delivered to a high degree of accuracy
  • Leading client accounts as designated by the Incisive Health management team, including leading the development of the strategy underpinning client programmes
  • Working constructively with account teams to ensure smooth delivery of client programmes, either leading the account or working under the direction of the client team lead
  • Ensuring accounts where the Account Director is the team lead are delivered to the expectations and satisfaction both of the client and of the management team
  • Identifying areas for expansion and enhanced delivery of client programmes
New business
  • Prospecting actively for, and securing, new business
  • Developing strategies and materials for new business pitches and proposals
  • Drafting new business materials and participating in pitches, as appropriate
  • Networking in policy and political fields to develop contacts, capture business intelligence and actively prospect for new business opportunities
Marketing
  • Playing an active role in the development of marketing events and/or materials
  • Ensuring the business maintains an active social media presence through twitter and blogging
Personnel
  • Nurturing the development of all members of the junior team, actively supporting them to develop as consultants and to progress
  • Line managing members of the team, at the designation of the management team
