Job Description

September 2023A Good Ofsted school is currently looking for a full-time Nursery teacher in the London Borough of Hendon; this school has beautiful grounds based in the heart of Barnet.This is an exceptional two-form entry school with a safe, happy, healthy, and secure environment based in the heart of Barnet. The school creates a purposeful learning environment and seek to achieve a balance between adult-led and child-initiated interactionsand activities. The school has a lovely SLT and a team of dedicated and passionate staff who strive to guide and support children every step of the way as well as deliver a first-class education. They work with children form the age of 2 to 11 years old andprovide a world class education where their students are high achievers, happy and can transition into their next phase of education.Nursery Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver exciting and engaging lessons that challenge and inspire Nursery students to reach their full potential
  • Monitor and assess students progress and keep regular records of Nursery students’ academic performance
  • Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning
  • Collaborate with school management, teaching staff and parents to provide quality academic support for Nursery students
  • Prepare and participate in school-related activities such as performances, events, and parent/teacher meetings
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children
  • Use a variety of effective classroom management strategies to ensure an orderly and safe learning environment
Nursery Teacher Requirements:
  • Nursery teacher experience
  • QTS or equivalent
  • A recognized qualification in teaching, preferably a PGCE, Bachelors degree in Education or any relevant field
  • Proven experience in teaching Nursery in a mainstream primary or secondary school
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and its application in class
  • Ability to adapt teaching styles to facilitate different learning styles
  • A passion for teaching and making a difference in students lives.
