Job Description

One of the UKs leading supply companies which is now becomeone of the fastest-growing international distribution and outsourcing groups is in urgent need of a 7.5 Tonne Driver based in Slough for an initial 1 month with the view to permanencyRole:7.5 Tonne DriverDuration:Temp 1 moth with view Permancy roleLocation: Tottenham, North LondonSalary: £10-£12 per hourWorking Schedule:Monday – Friday 45 hours - 6 am – 4 pm including a 1-hour unpaid break.Key Responsibiulities:

  • Ensure that the Company vehicle allocated is maintained in a roadworthy and clean condition, documenting appropriate checks and reporting any faults immediately.
  • Assist in loading assembled orders onto vehicle ensuring that the payload is within the limits for the vehicle and that the permissible axle weights are not exceeded and that goods are safely loaded for transportation and delivery
  • Ensure duties are carried out within legal requirements complying fully with the requirements of the Company Operators Licence.
  • Ensure all scheduled deliveries are completed on time, in full daily, utilising the relevant route planning tools
  • Deliver to customers as directed and assist with unloading and taking to final delivery point as requested. Report any problems with delivery sites.
    • QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • UK Driving Licence
  • Satisfactory driving record
  • Permitted to drive 7.5 tonnes- this will require a category C licence or a category B driving licence issued before 1997.
  • 7.5-tonne licence (Essential)
  • Full drivers CPC (Essential)
  • Digital tacho card required
  • Enthusiastic and highly driven individual
