Job Description

About the role:We are looking to recruit an experienced project manager to drive a project to improve the physical health of service users at South London and Maudsley. The project, ‘Integrating our Mental and Physical Healthcare Systems’, is delivered in collaboration with Kings Health Partners and comprises three workstreams:

  1. Physical Health Improvement & Implementation to build new physical health systems & protocols, develop resources and provide education and training to support development of a workforce who are skilled and confident to support physical health.
  2. Volunteer-led ‘Health Champions’ service to support SLaM patients to engage with and take up physical health and wellbeing activities in their local communities.
  3. Digital development of SLaM’s patient-facing personal health record, ‘Beth’ and improving sharing of clinical information across primary, community and secondary health services in south east London.
The vision is to build sustainable systems which are fully embedded within business-as-usual and to support all SLaM staff to understand and feel supported and equipped to provide high quality physical healthcare, ultimately driving a trust-wide improvement in physical health outcomes for our patients.The post holder will provide overall project management for the ‘Integrating our Mental and Healthcare Systems’ project and its workstreams and evaluation. They will support, facilitate and monitor progress of the project across all four South London and Maudsley sites in order to support successful delivery. Where issues are identified, the post holder will support performance improvement, working with a wide network of stakeholders, including nursing and medical leads for physical health, the Kings Health Partners Mind & Body Programme, general practice, community services, acute trusts and voluntary sector providers.
