Job Description

M365 Specialist (Digital Workplace)Start: ASAPLocation: West London, UK (1-2 days a week onsite, 3-4 WFH)Length: 6 months.Rate: £600PD - £700PD Engagement: Inside IR35 via Umbrella The overall purpose of this role is to lead the Microsoft Office 365/Modern Workplace at a well-known aerospace/travel business, enabling modern working practices such as hybrid work, improved end user experiences with content sharing and leading on the implementationof new services that impact all colleagues day to day work.This is a leadership and technical role. You will be owning the following products: SharePoint, Teams, Teams Meeting Room Technology, One Drive, Outlook (features roadmap), Viva Suite (Viva Engage, Viva Connections), Teams Audio Conferencing and other Microsoft products (Loop, Power Point, Excel,Word)Principal Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the design, development and deployment of software solutions and components from Microsoft Office 365 and drive adoption and embedding of this technology across the business.
  • Shared ownership (with EUC team) of the organisations M365 Roadmap and governance structure in line with organisational policies.
  • Lead and own the strategy for Hybrid Meeting Room technology at including developing the technology roadmap for Meeting rooms, innovation and managing the team who deliver and support our meeting rooms.
  • Own the roadmap changes, working with legal, cyber and end user computing to understand the impact of product and feature changes to the business. Asses & mitigate risks and own the operating model for evergreen changes. Work with technology run teams andarchitects to ensure that technology changes are agreed and added to backlog for implementation.
  • Define and monitor KPIs across the suite to ensure the most effective utilisation of M365.
  • Act as a key interface to suppliers and support providers including business case and budget management
  • Lead a team in delivering these initiatives and managing the transition to "live service" while effectively managing change, proactively managing issues, and delivering associated projects.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies
  • Continuously improve the way we work and lead changes that improve ways of working for your own team, technology, and all of the business.
  • As a leader in the organisation takes on additional assignments outside of own area from time to time, as required by the business
Qualifications, Skills, and ExperienceEssential
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities related to end-user issues.
  • You must be an excellent communicator, ability to communicate at all levels of the business, articulating solutions to issues in a way that all stakeholders understand regardless of seniority.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead conversations and present a vision to others so they understand the direction of thought and capability
  • Practical and demonstrable experience of administering all aspects of Microsoft Teams at a platform level and experience of associated apps and best practice implementation and support.
  • Self-starter who can take on projects and drive through to completion and handover to BAU. Strong customer-centric ethos, with the ability to work well as part of a team and be self-motivated.
  • A passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous learning and development
  • Be able to lead, coach and nurture existing team to success
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Microsoft product
Desirable
  • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Teams Meeting rooms and Teams Telephony.
  • Some experience in the Power family (Power Apps, PowerBI, Power Automate) is also desirable
