Job Description

Sales Team LeaderThis multi- award winning travel business pride themselves on delivering their customers a perfect blend of quality and value and operate globally to provide holidays which include bespoke & escorted touring itineraries, river cruising and rail journeys. ThisTour Operator looks set to continue this winning streak and needs a committed quality driven Sales Team leader.Sales Team Leader - Responsibilities:

  • As an integral part of the company, you will be responsible for the performance and motivation of the Sales and Service team.
  • Lead by example and utilise your experience and skills to achieve sales and service targets, whilst coaching and getting the best from your team.
  • Adopt a flexible, enthusiastic and driven approach to achieving the financial goals of the business.
  • Responsible for ensuring that as well as achieving all set targets the customers receive exquisite care.
  • Produce management information reports and monthly staffing rota.
  • Regular 1:1s and team meetings.
  • Produce and update procedure manuals.
Sales Team Leader - Skills Required:
  • Previous experience as a Sales Team Leader, Reservations Supervisor or other sales management position within the travel industry.
  • Strong motivational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to get the best from your team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Pro-active approach
  • Knowledge of Amadeus or other GDS / booking system preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Sales Team Leader - Additional Information:
  • Salary circa £26k + commission
  • Monday to Saturday 37.5 hours p/w 9 to 5 or 10 to 6. (Sunday working possibly being introduced in the future)
  • Hybrid home / office based - currently maximum of 2 days per week in the office but flexibility required.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
