Job Description

My client is a market-leading FMCG business based in South Wales, specialising in own-brand rice and grain products. The business has enjoyed significant growth in recent years which has been facilitated by increased customer demand, continued diversification of our product range and ongoing investment.Two primary sites are currently in operation, the head office and factory in Swansea, and the recently established, highly automated plant in Llantrisant. With over 350 employees across both sites, the business is committed to recruiting talented and driven professionals to join the business on its impressive growth .The Llantrisant site is looking to appoint a Multi - Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer to their factory workforce.Key accountabilities for this role include:

Carry out effective maintenance of factory production plant and systems in accordance with established daily routines and as directed by the engineering management team.

Conduct preventative maintenance activities.

Identify breakdown causes and repair as required.

Assist engineering projects as required.

Deal with day-to-day breakdowns and changeovers.

Install / Uninstall machinery as required.

Report maintenance and repair requirements to management.

Any other duties as required.

The desired candidate will have the following attributes:

Maintenance Engineer with 5+ years experience.

HNC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Tenacious and will not give up.

(Desirable) Working knowledge of Autocad

(Desirable) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent team player

Willing to develop new skills and keep on top of the latest technologies to ensure plant and equipment is maintained and monitored to the best practices available
