Logistics Technician required to work in a busy chemicals company. The emphasis for this new position is on the shipping of samples and orders (from gram to multi-kg scale) and to ensure that all accompanying paperwork is present and correct, and that products are shipped on time. As and when needed you will assist with product packing/potting/labelling and preparation. Material handling will be part of it, but accuracy, attention to detail and responding quickly to set tasks is important.Duties will include:Prepare, package and ship samples/orders as required.Collate and check documentation including safety data sheets, certificates of analysis, product invoices and despatch / delivery notes.Update and maintain stock databases.Monitor resin stocks and packaging to keep at optimal level.Maintain work area to a safe and clean standard.Qualifications and Experience:Minimum of GCSE’s in Maths, Science and English at grade A to C.Preferably some laboratory experience and science qualifications preferred (A-level or above).Chemistry background and experience of handling chemicals and materials.Knowledge or experience with logistics or shipping, including safety data sheets (msds) and other relevant regulations.Computer literate covering MS Office Applications (competent with Excel, Word, etc…), email and internet.Good laboratory housekeeping.Ability to respond quickly to demanding deadlines whilst maintaining high level of quality.Good attention to detail, shows accuracy in all tasks.Driving Licence and own transport required due to location.
