Sprayer / PolisherLocation: Cwmbran, NP44 3AX, South WalesSalary: Starting at £12, negotiable DOE: Overtime paid at time and a halfContract: Permanent, Full timeHours: Monday-Thursday: 8am - 5pm / Friday: 8am - 2.30pmAbout the company Woodside Joinery is a family business that has a long tradition of specialising in the creation of high-quality bespoke staircases and staircase furniture. Woodside Joinery operates throughout the UK.Sprayer/Polisher - About the role:As a skilled Sprayer and Polisher, you are expected to spray, polish and finish bespoke products to a high standard. This role will be a combination of workshop and site-based, so the successful applicant must be prepared to travel, stay overnight (on occasion) and liaise directly with customers as some finishing will be carried out on site.Duties:As a skilled Sprayer and Polisher, you will be expected to take ownership of:

  • Prepping work for finishing.
  • Mixing Lacquers and Paints to achieve the desired finishes.
  • Spraying P/U Lacquers and Paints
  • Maintaining equipment and supplies within the sprayshop.
  • Quality control and preparation of finished products prior to fitting and delivery.
  • The successful applicant should be able to:
  • Work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Complete work to tight schedules and deadlines
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance to Health and Safety at Work Regulations and Codes of Practice
  • Wear protective clothing as supplied and attend all training when requested.
  • Carry out any other duties within the business as may be allocated from time to time.
  • Sprayer/Polisher - Person specification:Required:
  • The successful applicant will be experienced in Spraying, Finishing and Polishing (ideally with experience involving various timbers joinery works.
  • Experience of working on building sites.
  • Up-to-date and clean driving licence
  • Desired:
  • Any applicable qualifications/certifications
  • A Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
  • First Aid Training
  • French Polishing experience
  • Trade Relevant CSCS Card
