Job Description

Are you committed to making a positive change in the community If so BRC are recruiting for a Tenancy Support Worker to join an dedicated team in Llanelli. This charity makes ending homelessness its mission, with a focus on supporting vulnerable and marginalized people within society. As Tenancy Support Worker your role will focus on offering practical and emotional support to ensure that these individualsare able to maintain their accommodation.Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering practical and compassionate support.
  • Building confidence and a positive attitude.
  • Coordinating and implementing risk assessments.
  • Ensuring measures are taken to prevent loss of tenancy.
  • Encouraging individuals to establish and maintain a community support network.
  • Collaborating with external agencies such as healthcare professionals, police and social services.
  • Taking responsibility for managing your own case load.
To be successful in this position you will need to have previous experience within the housing support sector and assisting those with complex needs. You will be able compassionate and open minded. You will also be confident in implementing and executingan outcome focused support plan to help the individual maintain their tenancy.
