Job Description

Position: Registered Manager - ResidentialSalary (£): £35,880.25 - £37,370.00 per annumLocation: Pontarddulais, Swansea, SA4 0XXService: Ty Hendy, Consensus Support ServicesAbout Consensus Support Services:Consensus was established in 2005 to support individuals withlearning disabilities,autism,complex needs including Prader-Willi Syndrome.   • Based in Carmarthenshire on the outskirts of Swansea, Wales, Ty Hendy is an innovative residential service that responds to the unique needs of individuals with learning disabilities and other complex needs within three specialist person-centred settings.
  • The Laurelsconsists offive self-contained flatsthat provide young adults with a learning disability and a range of complex needs, this service has often been used as a stepdown residential service to promote independence and enhance daily living skills through active support and to support the people we support to move on to a supporting living service once they are ready.
  • The Oaksare two sets oftwo-bedroom shared apartmentsfor individuals with a learning disability and/or autism.
  • The Holliesis aspecialist residential settingwith eight en-suite bedrooms for people with alearning disability and cognitive declinewho may also have a physical disability.
  • You will lead and work with a team to provide operational and strategic direction, setting clearly defined work objectives efficiently and effectively for both yourself and others and ensuring these are successfully achieved against agreed timelines and directives.
  • With the aim of enabling the people we support to lead a valued and fulfilling life and to maximise their independence to enable them to achieve their full potential, ensuring that the service is run in an efficient and responsible manner, and providing excellent quality.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage a large staff team and promote an inspired workforce to deliver excellent care and support to the people we support at the service.
  • Ensure quality is maintained and that the service meets all regulatory compliance with CIW and ensuring quality is at the forefront of what you what to achieve at the service. Encouraging and developing the service and its staff team.
  • Promote quality assurance, working towards legal, clinical, statutory and organisational obligations, to develop effective work strategies and processes, to ensure that the business is run in an efficient and responsible manner, balancing the maximisation of profitability with the ethos of excellent quality.
  • Balance the level of acceptable risk against the need to protect the health, safety, and welfare of all concerned in all decision making. With the aim of enabling the service users to lead a valued, fulfilling life and to maximise their independence to enable them to achieve their full potential.
  • To actively promote a learning culture, seeking cost effective resources to maximise learning and development opportunities, ensuring that the training compliance levels are met and maintained.
  • Effective management of financial performance, ensuring financial resources are appropriately managed & controlled.
  • Ensure full and accurate reporting of management information via CMT and the Compliance Report.

  • About You/Skills & Experience Required:
  • To join us, you’ll need to have plenty of experience working with those with learning disabilities or complex behaviours
  • You will have an QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Support and training towards Level 4 and 5 is available
  • A good knowledge of relevant H&S regulations
  • You’ll certainly have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confident, flexible, and efficient, you are happy to work on a shift basis, and, where required, to be on call
