Job Description

We are seeking an HR Advisor with a passion for people and a commitment to excellence.HR Advisor£37,000 to £43,000Llanelli - head office with occasional travel to Merthyr and occasional work from home after embedding in periodClient DetailsOur client is an established leader in the Transport & Distribution industry, employing over 5000 individuals. Locally you will be responsible for 2 sites, with 75 total employees. You will benefit from working in a large organisation with a support networkof HR professionals but have the autonomy to drive and implement your own changes locally in a standalone role.

  • Heavily unionised environment - union experience essential
  • 75 FTE
  • Key stakeholders include: HRBP (line manager off site), GM, x2 Site Managers, Ops Director
DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR advice and support to team members and managers alike.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to the senior leadership team
  • Manage recruitment processes, from selection to onboarding.
  • Conduct performance management and employee development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Handle employee relations issues in a sensitive and professional manner.
  • Participate in the development of HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other HR team members to improve HR procedures and workflows.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive company culture.
  • Partner with and negotiate with trade union

ProfileA successful HR Advisor should have:
  • A degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience as a HR Advisor in an industrial sector such as manufacturing or logistics
  • Experience working in a heavily unionised environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and autonmously
