We are looking for an enthusiastic Psychologist to join our Adult Mental Health Psychology Services in Hywel Dda University Health Board. The successful applicant will be based in Llanelli while also providing a service to clients in South Ceredigion. Travel time and expenses will be included in the job plan accordingly. The successful candidate will be required to provide psychological assessment and evidence based psychological treatment for people presenting with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. Knowledge and familiarity with psychometric assessment is required. The successful candidate will be supported by the Lead Consultant Clinical Psychologist for Adult Mental Health. They will receive high quality clinical supervision and clinical governance supervision from a Senior Psychologist. There will be opportunities to develop leadership skills, research ideas and to develop skills in one of the specialty areas of Psychological Services in the Health Board. We have clinicians trained in CAT, CBT, Schema, MBT, IPT, EMDR, Art therapy and Integrative psychotherapy. We also have a Consultant Neuropsychologist with whom consultations are available. We have strong links with the Acute Psychology Service, Integrated Psychology Service, Personality Disorder Consultation Service, Specialist Eating Disorder Service, Forensic Service and Probation and links are developing with Regional Neuroscience Services, Stroke Care and General Health Psychology. We regularly offer Doctoral Training placements and opportunities to develop as a supervisor are routinely available.
