Job Description

Job Title: Weekend Multi-skilled Maintenance FittersHours: Basic working hours are 37 hours per week on two shift rotationDay Shift: Saturday, Sunday, Monday 6 am to 6 pmNight shift: Friday: 6 pm to 12 am Saturday, Sunday, Monday: 6 pm to 6 amSalary:Starting salary is 7A during probationary £27,877.25, plus shift allowance £6,969.31, totalling £34,846.56 per annum.7C after probationary £28,453.14 plus shift allowance of £7,113.28, totalling £35,566.42.ProfileWe are lucky to be working with one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Nickel, Titanium and Steel alloy forgings for the aerospace, defence and energy sectors. A vacancy has arisen for weekend multi-skilled Maintenance Fitters to join their team basedin Livingston. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates who want to continue their careers within an exciting and progressive manufacturing facility.This role will be an integral part of the wider Maintenance team. Applicants must have time served in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline.Responsibilities and requirements for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Fitter include:

  • Responding to breakdowns and carrying out preventative and predictive maintenance activities on manufacturing plant and equipment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a background within the heavy engineering industry or be able to show versatility in quickly absorbing the detail of new manufacturing operations combined with a well-rounded experience.
  • Be able to work under their own initiative.
  • Be self-motivated and can manage a varied and demanding workload.
  • You must have a proven track record of fault finding with the ability to read technical drawings.
  • Be able to work at heights and in enclosed spaces.
  • Have basic IT skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of High voltage distribution systems is also desirable.

Experience and Education
