Job Description

*Are you an analytical, articulate, meticulous and experienced Shipping/Logistics Administrator*Would you like to work for a market leading fashion Company *Would you like a flexible home/office working patternOffice Angels Livingston are collaborating with an exciting market leader in corporate clothing to recruit for a Permanent Shipping Coordinator. The role is perfect for someone who has a proven track working in a similar stock management support role. Thesuccessful applicant will be well organised, meticulous with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative with minimum supervision. The company have a flexible home/office working model after successful training/probation,based in Livingston, West Lothian with depending on workload therefore you must be open to both office and remote working. Office hours 9am-5.30pm, Monday-Friday, salary up to £26,000 depending on experience.Role OverviewThis well-established company is looking for a Shipping Administrator to fully support the Purchasing Manager and Director with its inventory and analysis based on the companys demand, someone who will help to deliver sustained business growth and controlof the companys stock.This business is committed to creating positive working ethos where people are rewarded for using their initiative and recognised for their contribution. There is an opportunity for the candidate to succeed within the role and to be a contributor to thesuccess of the company by analysing, coordinating, and assisting in controlling the overall company stocks.Main responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and managing the inbound shipment process, taking full accountability from initiation to completion.
  • Monitoring and reporting on current and projected stock levels based on incoming shipments.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to guarantee timely shipments, aligning with production schedules, and promptly updating estimated ship dates based on supplier communications.
  • Collaborating with freight forwarders to oversee inbound shipments to multiple warehouses and direct to customers, ensuring smooth logistics operations.
  • Facilitating effective communication between freight forwarders and warehouses to ensure timely and complete delivery of goods.
  • Engaging with various stakeholders across departments to ensure transparency and accuracy in inventory data for all concerned parties.
  • Processing sales orders and forwarding them to third-party warehouses for further handling.
  • Generating customer invoices utilising delivery notes provided by the third-party warehouse.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records utilising the Navision system.
  • Coordinating with our warehouse team to arrange the dispatch of goods to our distributors.
  • Managing communication with distributors and customers to ensure smooth operations and address any inquiries or concerns effectively.
Experience and Attributes required:
  • A meticulous candidate with excellent attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
  • Driven and proactive in approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent proficiency in standard Microsoft applications to process, obtain and combine information - Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to plan and organise both familiar and new tasks in an office environment, within a specified deadline.
