Job Description

Job title: Shift Equipment & Maintenance EngineerLocation:West LothianSalary: £31,000 plus 20% shift allowanceHours: Monday to Friday, either Fixed / Rotational: 06:00-14:30 or 14:00-22:00 or 10:00-06.30.(Flexibility is essential)We are delighted to be working in partnership with a global leader in the technology industry.Based in West Lothian, our client focuses on the development, production, and sales of high-end optical communication network components.The companys core competencies are in the design, manufacturing, packaging, and optical testing of a wide range of high technology devices for use in telecom and datacom networks.Our client is recruiting for a Shift Equipment & Maintenance Engineer. Supporting the Facilities Manager, you will be actively involved within the execution of PPM and reactive maintenance on our new and existing equipment and will be heavilyinvolved within providing technical support for our production line as well as supporting other departments.Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing shift cover for the maintenance department as well as technical support across production
  • Establish and implement TPM for all production equipment
  • Carry out existing preventative maintenance as determined by maintenance schedules
  • Actively take responsibility for machine uptime
  • Ensure all equipment engineering practices and procedures are carried out in accordance with current health & safety legislation
  • Liaise with main equipment suppliers about technical servicing issues as required
  • Ensure adequate availability of equipment spares for all manufacturing equipment
  • Participate as an active member of the Emergency Response Team and in cross training functions
Qualifications / Experience & Skills:
  • Educated to HND or equivalent within an electrical or electronic discipline
  • Previous experience working in a wafer fabrication environment
  • Excellent trouble shooting abilities and able to work on your own or in a team
