Job Description

Senior Software Developer required for the software engineering team of this prestigious global digital corporate. You will join a business that is transforming industry globally with software-defined machines and solutions that are connected, responsiveand predictive.You will work as part of a scrum team fixing product defects as well as designing and building new features for highly complex and leading-edge software products used by companies worldwide.

  • Maintaining existing applications in their market leading Distributed Management System written in C#
  • Developing new applications in Python, C# .NET, Angular 2, HTML5, Docker
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Technical Managers to understand user requirement and design and develop applications to meet customer needs.
  • Work closely with customers and project engineers to Identify issues and improve code quality
  • Work well as part of a team or independently, showing initiative when overcoming obstacles
  • Display a natural ability to learn.
  • Able to improve product quality displaying strong refactoring skills.
  • Implement automated unit tests and scenario tests to ensure release quality.
You will be an experienced engineer / developer with demonstrable experience writing software in C#. Experience of C++ is advantageous but not essential. You will have experience of database technologies (preferably Oracle) and operating systems (preferablyLinux). A natural coder, you will work passionately as part of a team, learning from and mentoring your teammates. You will be a natural innovator, comfortable in a variety of technologies, transferring your skills into new development environments and technologiesall the time. You will not be fazed by diving into legacy code to diagnose and resolve problems, seeking to understand the value of whats already there and how to best leverage and extend the product.Desirable: Experience with C#/.Net and MFC, Experience with Angular 4 (or above) or web frameworks, HTML5, CSS3Our client offers a supportive and friendly work environment coupled with flexible working and prospects for personal and career progression. The team are currently WFH, but are expected to move to hybrid working in the autumn.
